ACCREDITATION HELP

Several Insurance companies and Medicare in 2010 will require diagnostic imaging facilities to obtain ICANL (Nuclear Cardiology) ICAEL (Echocardiography) accreditations as a condition for reimbursement. An accredited lab ensures quality and is one which adheres to certain essentials and standards set forth by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), American Society of Echocardiography (ASE).

The accreditation process can take up to 6 months or even longer for a first-timer to complete depending upon how many doctors and technologists are involved.
